Chicory coffee

A well-known coffee substitute, chicory coffee can be obtained from the common chicory. Because we eat the buds of some chicory species as chicory salad, chicory coffee is also sold under the name chicory coffee.

For example, one study found that people with insulin resistance who drank 20 grams (0.5 tablespoons) of apple cider vinegar before a meal reduced their rise in blood sugar by 64%. However, this effect has not been observed in people with type 2 diabetes.

The best way to drink apple cider vinegar is to combine 12 tablespoons of raw or unfiltered apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of cold water and optionally 1-2 tablespoons of honey or another sweetener of your choice.

Don’t drink apple cider vinegar without diluting it first, as it contains 4-6% acetic acid, which can “burn” the mouth and throat. With regular use, tooth enamel can also wear down. Therefore, it is recommended to drink extra water before and after drinking apple cider vinegar.

Lemon water

Vitamin C plays a role as an antioxidant in your immune system and protects your skin from sun damage. A glass of lemon water is easy to prepare – add a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to a glass of cold or warm water. So you already get 10% of your daily vitamin C requirement. You can easily add other fruits and herbs to create other flavours. Cucumber, mint, watermelon, and basil are some popular choices.
